SCVRD is your source for quality employees
SCVRD means business, in the rehabilitation of its clients and in its partnerships with the business community.
Practical experience is the most valuable tool in training people with disabilities to achieve success in a work environment. Our 24 work training centers located throughout the state contract with more than 400 businesses and industries to do outsource work. Clients learn work behaviors and develop stamina as they perform tasks on the contracts and the contractors receive quality work at competitive prices.
Why hire SCVRD clients?
- It’s good business sense. Employers who hire our clients are delighted by their skills, drive, loyalty and dependability.
- SCVRD staff members work closely with clients to gain an understanding of their abilities and potential. We believe it’s important that the job is right for the client and the client is right for the job. We also follow up after the client is employed to make sure everything is going smoothly and help the employer or the employee with any concerns.
- Many of our clients have solid work histories but their disabilities make it impossible to return to their previous jobs. But even those with no work experience are well prepared for the workplace through hands-on training, career planning and employment classes and/or other services to prepare them for successful employment.
- The best person for the job might be someone who has shown the motivation and commitment to acquire the skills to become employable.
