Drug Uses
Aciphex is used for healing of ulcers, gastro esophageal reflux disease (GERD or heartburn), and other conditions involving excessive stomach acid production. This medication decreases the amount of acid produced in your stomach.
How Taken
Aciphex comes in delayed release, enteric coated tablets taken by mouth. They are specially formulated to gradually release in your body. The general dosage for adults is one Aciphex 20 mg tablet once a day for four to eight weeks. Each dose is taken with a full glass of water. Aciphex should be swallowed whole. Do not break, chew, or split the tablets. They are specially formulated to release slowly in your body.

Unless you doctor recommends you otherwise, there are no restrictions on food, drinks, or activities while taking Aciphex. You can live you usual lifestyle. Do not stop taking Aciphex before your physician approves.
