Summer Institute in Orangeburg

At this event, the Orangeburg office will be holding its annual summer program for our high school students in the area. We have several events planned for the week. 

Monday, 6/11 – Our students will be touring SC WORKS of Orangeburg. Students will be engaged by SC WORKS staff and staff will be relaying to students the message of the workforce and also getting set up with this state agency. 

Tuesday, 6/12 – Students will tour place Black Water Barrel. Students will be met by employee of company and employer will explain the expectations of working and how this company works. 

Wednesday, 6/13 – Students will be touring the college Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College of Orangeburg. 

Thursday, 6/14 – Students will be in our office hearing from a guest speaker.

Friday, 6/15 – The transition team will be wrapping up the week with mock interviews and workplace etiquette , and covering job interviewing skills.
