Greenville Mental Health Accute Staff Training

The goal of this event is to educate Greenville Mental Health Accute Staff on the collaboration between IPS and Vocational Rehabilitation, the IPS program and changes and the referral process to help increase the number of referrals to the IPS program and continue to use "zero exclusion" when working with the mentally ill.

Mayor's Committee Annual Awareness/Advocacy Walk and Roll

In case of inclement weather, all events will be held at SC Vocational Rehabilitation, 353 S. Church Street, Spartanburg, SC.

The goal of this event is to raise awareness in the community regarding people with disabilities to include students, adults, agency, partners, business, and business partners. The conclusion of the Walk and Roll features an advocacy activity with guest speakers and a meal.

United Way and Kimberly-Clark have joined forces to focus on two critical issues: giving young women a strong start in leadership and advocacy, and helping people live vibrant, fulfilling lives. Kimberly-Clark was recognized by United Way in 2015 for its consumer engagement in both projects. The company was lauded for leveraging cause marketing efforts to engage consumers and raise awareness about critical issues.

This is a walk supporting the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) in upstate South Carolina. Interested walkers are encouraged to register/attend at namiwalks.org under the Greenville VR Team listing.  Check in will begin at 9 am. The walk begins at 10 am. If not able to walk and would like to give a gift of donation, this can also be done online.
