Charge Nurse vacancy for the SC Vocational Rehabilitation Department's Palmetto Center in Florence SC

State Salary Range: $48,622.00 - $89,956.00 annually

Agency Hiring Range: Min: $52,593.00  Max: $89,956

Job Type: FTE - Full-Time

Normal Work Schedule:Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00) occasional weekend and/or other hours may be required of the Charge Nurse.

Job Responsibilities:

In a caring, therapeutic environment, will assist people to overcome alcohol/drug addictions.  Duties include: supervision of medical and nursing departments.  Administrative duties assigned as well as providing medical education to staff and weekly lectures on medical aspects of addictions.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

Must be graduate of accredited school of nursing & licensed as RN by SC Board of Nursing. Minimum of 5 yrs general nursing experience required. Supervisory experience required.  Ability to lift 50 lbs.

 Preferred Qualifications:

Training and experience in addiction education/treatment is preferred.

 Additional Comments:

Please obtain your official 10 year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles if invited to interview.

Speech Pathologist (temporary position)

Speech Pathologist needed for SCVRD’s Disability Determination Services (DDS).  Temporary/part-time, 15-40 hrs per week, based on need. Hourly rate: $37.91 per hour. One position but 3 possible locations for this job: West Columbia, Greenville or North Charleston SC. 

Min Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.  ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required.  Professional license issued by SC Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology required.  Comprehensive training provided. 

Duties:

Serving the DDS, duties will include reviewing and evaluating evidence pertaining to speech-language impairments, and making determinations of impairment severity & residual functional capacity. Completes telephone contacts with appropriate sources as needed.  Will provide consultation to Disability Examiners & Psychologist/Medical Consultants.  Completes documents appropriately. Provides training & assistance to DDS staff. Perform Consultative Examination reviews.

Other Comments:

Official transcripts will be required.  Anyone selected for hire will need to obtain their Official 10 year Driving Record from the Department of Motor Vehicles and provide it to the hiring manager for their review.
